Lin Prabish- President
Linda, who is often referred to as the “Lady who paints on photographs,” is the inventor of “Lin’s Touch,” a technique for painting on photographs. Kodak visited her studio one day and shortly after, she was traveling and teaching others about her technique.
Linda’s favorite photography technique involves using natural lighting provided by Mother Nature. She is known for speaking on topics such as reading light, painting, manual settings, photographing Native Americans, and pricing your work. She has photographed Native Americans and has made numerous friends in the process. Samples of Linda’s work can be found online at linbprabishartist.com. Her work is recognized and sold worldwide.
Ron Durant -Vice President
Ron Durant is a member of the Cookeville Camera Club and currently the President of the Club. With over 50 years of experience in photography Ron enjoys sharing his experiences with fellow club members. In 2024 Ron became the Vice President of the 3CT (Camera Club Council of Tennessee). Ron enjoys Landscape and Nature Photography, Hiking and Photographing the Birds in his Backyard Studio.
Ann Barber – Secretary
Ann Barber is a retired permanent student photographer. Now that I have time of my own I am busier than ever before with photography, camera clubs, college photography and video classes, motorcycle riding, grandchildren and church. My perfect day would be cloudy, on my Spyder (3 wheeler) riding through town, doing street photography at night.
Maury Griffith – Treasurer
Maury has been an avid amateur photographer from his teens, but his favorite activity is teaching, beginning his career as a physics, chemistry, and math teacher in Michigan. He is a retired IBM award-winning instructor and e-commerce consultant, teaching internationally in IBM’s corporate training program.
He has been teaching photography since 2008, combining his skills in education, computer technology, and photography and can address artistic as well as technical aspects of the art. He demonstrates expertise in Photoshop skills and enjoys post-processing.
Maury started and presided over a photography club in Georgia and is past president of a photography club in Land O’ Lakes, Florida. He and his wife Barbara currently reside in Chattanooga.
Education Director Mickey Rountree
Mickey has been a photographer since the late 70’s. From 1979 to 1981 he completed the photography courses for an Associate Degree in Photography at Cleveland State Community College.
He works with Canon cameras (R5, 5D Mark IV and 7D Mark II, EOS M-50) and lenses, (from 8-15mm fisheye to 100-400mm and everything in between).
He has been a member of the PSC since the early 80’s. He has been treasurer twice, president two times and on the board several terms. He was the contest chairman of the PSC for six years, and was the first PSC Webmaster from 2001 -2008. He has written over 100 articles for the PSC newsletter. Since 2020 he has been the educational director for 3CT.
Social Media Director/Newsletter Editor – Leandra Habel
Leandra Habel has lived in Unionville, Tennessee, for 30 years and discovered her interest for photography in elementary school through the 4-H club. After retiring from architectural drafting and becoming a stay-at-home mom, she began improving her skills. Volunteering at her daughter’s school allowed her to contribute to the yearbook, further enhancing her photography. Leandra specializes in various subjects, including sports, portraits, and landscapes. Inspired by the ability to capture moments and relive memories makes photography an enduring passion.
Leandra is a member of Bedford Arts Collective, Brentwood Photography Group, Southern Appalachian Nature Photographers, Tennessee Professional Photographers and Photographic Society of America. You can explore her work at LeandraHabelphotography.com.
Membership Director – Randy Finch
Randy Finch is a retired chemical engineer that has had an interest in photography since his teenage years. Starting with a Kodak Hawkeye, he moved on to 35mm film cameras with multiple lenses and then on to digital cameras. Although interested in many genres, he concentrates mostly on landscape, travel, and architectural photography. He has won and placed in many photo competitions and been published in several magazines.
